Dan Ives launches Wedbush AI Revolution ETF

Wedbush ETF

Dan Ives, a well-known tech analyst from Wedbush Securities, recently launched an artificial intelligence exchange-traded fund (ETF) called the Dan Ives Wedbush AI Revolution ETF. The fund trades under the ticker symbol IVES and focuses on stocks that are transforming the AI landscape. Ives believes that software is the subcategory within AI that is currently experiencing a “golden age.” He stated, “Software is going to be driving a lot of the use cases.

But it’s trying to understand: Who within software? Just because they say ‘AI’ on a conference call doesn’t make them an AI player.”

The IVES ETF has a diverse portfolio spanning 30 companies across multiple industries, including hyperscalers, cybersecurity, consumer platforms, and robotics. The list was compiled following extensive research into major AI players.

Some of the top holdings in the fund include Microsoft, Nvidia, Broadcom, Oracle, Palantir, IBM, Salesforce, SoundHound, and Innodata.

Ives explained the motivation behind creating the ETF, saying, “Around the world, investors always ask, ‘How do you play AI?

How do you play the theme?’ Our research allows investors to engage with this theme regardless of their location or background.”

The fund has attracted significant attention from investors, with $183 million in assets under management as of the last market close. Ives plans to reevaluate the AI 30 every quarter, adjusting the list based on emerging trends and companies. Despite the rapid advancements in AI, Ives argues that the tech trade remains a solid investment.

He stated, “If you focus just on valuation, you miss every transformational tech stock of the last 20 years.”

The Dan Ives AI Revolution ETF is not the only option for investors looking to gain exposure to the AI sector. Other notable AI-focused ETFs include the L&G Artificial Intelligence UCITS ETF, Global X Robotics & Artificial Intelligence ETF, ROBO Global Robotics and Automation Index ETF, and iShares Future AI & Tech ETF. As AI technology continues to revolutionize multiple industries, these ETFs offer diverse ways to invest in the sector’s growth.

Each fund has its unique focus and portfolio composition, providing investors with a range of options to align with their investment strategies and risk appetites.
